The Box was the first venture of Simon Hammerstein, Richard Kimmel, and the Variety Partners to create a late-night, celebrity driven jewel-box theater with a full stage show of very cutting edge burlesque vignettes.  The theater was installed in a previously industrial signage manufacturing building with a gravel floor.  FRDG provided the lighting design and then provided the design, programming, and operation for over 100 vignettes in the first year, eventually training subsequent lighting directors for the venture.  This led to consulting on the design of The Box, London; The Act, Dubai; and The Act, Las Vegas, as well as Variety Partners pop-up theatrical events throughout the world.
